We supply single stand-alone products, through to standard systems incorporating processes such as softening, organic scavenging, deionisation, filtration, reverse osmosis and continuous deionisation (CEDI).

Softeners

Softening is removing the hardness from the water, which results from the presence of calcium and magnesium ions.

Softeners can be used for a number of applications, from boiler feed, glass washing to general manufacturing.

Deionisers

Deionisation uses a combination of cation and anion resins to remove all the ions from a water supply to produce purified water.

Filters

Certain types of water may contain impurities which could be harmful to ion exchange resins or reverse osmosis membranes.

These impurities include iron, manganese, free chlorine, particulates and colloids - the levels of all of which need to be minimised in the feedwater.

This reduction may be achieved by filtration through a bed of media such as fine sand, anthracite, activated carbon or manganese dioxide.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis is a very broad purification process, removing a high proportion of most impurities.

RO systems usually require a softened water feed to protect the membrane from the build up of hardness and to ensure optimum performance.

Continuous Deionisation

Continuous Deionisation (CEDI) uses a combination of ion exchange resins and ion exchange membranes, in conjunction with electrodes, to purify water.

It is used as a polishing technique to further purify permeate from a Reverse Osmosis unit.

Organic Scavengers

Organic scavengers are a pre-treatment unit designed to protect deioniser resins and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes from organic or colloidal fouling.
